Join author and educator, Tatiana Johnson-Boria, for a writing workshop and poetry reading. In the workshop, learn how to write about memories to heal. Open to all levels. Then, listen to Tatiana read from her book, "Nocturne in Joy," a collection of poems exploring the challenges of growing up in a difficult childhood. The poems delve into the experiences of a Black girl becoming a Black woman and the trauma and healing along the way. Tatiana is a skilled writer and educator who uses her work to confront racism, trauma, and cultivate healing. She has received recognition for her writing and teaches at various institutions. Look out for her work in Ploughshares, Kenyon Review, Pleiades, and more.
